there is a load of bad petrol around at the moment. Mainly in Tesco and morrisons. If you watched the news, listened to the raido or looked in cars and transportation questions you would know this. Maybe your bf is telling you the truth.

Yes he probably does......it's been on the national news tonight about petrol which has been bought at Tesco and Asda - it's faulty....so he's telling the truth.

its been onm the news that petrol stations from supoerstores (morrisons, sainsburys, tescos etc) have gotten contaminated and have launched a investigation into it, its all over the net too, im not saying he's being sincere, could be useing it as his excuse, but dont shoot him just yet cos he may be telling the truth.

unless your absolutely sure he's lying do not assume things, he could be telling the truth. If hes not your gonna wanna figure out why he lied, and do the next best thing if his excuse isnt nearly good enough your gonna need to find a better man.
