There is no set age where you can no longer have sex. Keep in mind that Tony Randall became a father around the age of 80. There are several people who you may consided "old" who have a very satisfying sex life. So with that said, you can have sex until you die if you feel able.

You asked in Genealogy, not Women's Health or Men's Health. Unless you clicked on the wrong category, you want some resonability numbers.

The Guinness Book of Records would have oldest / youngest father / mother. I think women have given birth as young as 6 and as old as 60; men from 10 or so and in their 90's or 100's. As for just having sex, not conceiving, until you die.

I get suspicious when a woman gives birth after the age of 45 or before 14. I get suspicious when a man gets married before 16. There are exceptions, especially women having a child when they are 46, but if you find people outside those limits, put a question mark by them.

Before 1900 marriage was almost a given. If a man's wife died and he was reasonably well off, he would often marry someone 10, 20 or 30 years younger than himself and have another family. The kids would come every 5-6 years, not every 2-3. The normal pattern before 1920 was that a man would marry when he was 18 - 25, his wife would be 2 - 3 years younger than him, and they would have a child every 2 - 3 years until the wife got into her mid-40's or one of them died.

As long as you're over 18, you can have sex until the last day of your life. Before 18 you have to look at state statutes and they usually include provisions that make it dependent on the age of the person with whom you're having sex...like they can't be more than 2 years older or younger than you and can't be mentally challenged.

Apparently there have been documented cases of people actually passing on while in the middle of the act itself. So I don't think there really is a last year, or oldest age. The site below has some interesting facts, if you're really curious.

Are you trying to find a rough age for an anscestor. If so maximum ages for procreation would be roughyl 50 for a woman and actually I'd guess 60 to 70 for a man. Those are just guesses don't put too much faith in those numbers.
