Souls are won by sharing the Gospel of Grace and the Love of our Lord Jesus Christ with the lost. It is a labor of love not a mindless gamble on chance.
The Holy Spirit confirm the Gospel and Souls are saved.
Thanks for asking.

James 5:20 - Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.

1 Peter 4:8 - And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.

Things are not always won by gambling. Races aren't won by gambling. Beauty contests and bake-offs aren't won by gambling. Arguments and debates aren't won by gambling. Friends aren't won by gambling. You don't win your wife or husband by gambling.

The only place I've seen souls won by gambling is in the musical Guys and Dolls. Great show, BTW.

BTW, the Bible does not expressly forbid gambling, but it does warn against greed, and tells us to earn our money. (I don't think the Bible forbids investments, either, but I'm not sure if you can biblically differentiate between stock investments and gaming.) Of course, when gambling is addictive or wasteful, that can lead to sin.

My rule of thumb about gambling is, don't bet more than you can afford to lose, or don't bet more than you're willing to lose. That way, gambling, done in affordable amounts, can be a form of entertainment, like a movie or Broadway show. When you lose, think of it as sharing your money with your friends. When you win, they're sharing their money with you.

And if you can't stand to lose, don't gamble at all.

FYI, I rarely gamble.

I agree - the fact that the Bible also states that we only borrow our souls from the Arc Angel John we never own our own souls so how do we win them if no-one actually owns them in the first place - good question.

Could you quote that in context?

God put us here to love Him and to tell others about Him. Winning Souls is persuasion. It's not gambling.

If there were such a thing as a soul, there might be a point to that claim.
