Do you really think this is a logically sound question? If you can't see that it's absurd you should really go back to school and demand a proper education.

We can measure the wind and directly see its effects. We understand what it is and how it works. As for gods... Well, there is no evidence at all. So, how are gods and the wind alike?

Wind exists because of differences in barometric pressure caused by high and low pressure weather systems, and the earth's rotation. It's not gods, sonny, it's a science called meteorology. Nice try. You picked something science figured out about 300 years ago. Might as well ask why Paris Hilton exists; there's a REAL mystery.

Actually- we now completely and totally understand why the wind exists.

3000 years ago there were a lot of unanswered questions about the world. So- man made up a 'god' as the simplest solution. Why does the sun revolve around the earth? they asked... because god made it that way. it made a lot of sense back then, so they wrote it down.

But now- we live in an enlightened, technologically advanced age. We completely understand the nature of weather. the equations of hydrostatic equillibrium of the sun. and a nearly endless array of other high level and detailed understandings of how and why things work. We no longer need this ancient crutch.

MORON: If you don't know this, then how come you didn't except the offer to re-take grade school? Even most of my Christian friends know this....

Wind is the rough horizontal movement of air (as opposed to an air current) caused by uneven heating of the Earth's surface. It occurs at all scales, from local breezes generated by heating of land surfaces and lasting tens of minutes to global winds resulting from solar heating of the Earth. The two major influences on the atmospheric circulation are the differential heating between the equator and the poles, and the rotation of the planet (Coriolis effect).

That is a really simple-minded statement. Sorry.

There are much more compelling proofs of the Creator's existence.

Because the world is turning...and weather movement ...you can see it on satellite....I don't see a big ominous hand coming down and helping people on satellite...

NO, because we've actually proven scientifically where wind comes from!

People have already asked his question soo many times.

Wind does not exist. Its movement of air due to temperature and pressure changes in the atmosphere and the earth.

The wind can be measured. Call it what you like... call it the smizmar, but whatever it is, it can be measured.

You can't measure this "god" thing.
