Its all about being yourself, and using good communication. Always assert yourself when you have to, they'll respect you for it. Always tell the truth, they'll trust you for it. Always do what you say your gonna do, and you'll be trusted ten fold. When you talk to em, listen to em, be serious when you gotta be, have a sense of humour when you have to...
And if anybody tells you that you gotta be the sexiest sl** alive to be an amazing girlfriend they dont know what --really-- matters. Have fun, good luck!

All you can do is be yourself- the more you try to be someone you're not, the more you're supressing your inner feelings and emotions which will one day lead to a nervous breakdown (in the worst case scenario). If the guy doesn't like who YOU are, how can you pretend to be some else for his sake?
Find balance between his needs and yours, by sharing all your feelings- including your fears and doubts. If he truely loves you, he will try to understand and make you feel like an extraordinary girlfriend, as you will him. Try to balance giving and taking- selfishness and selflessness- too much of either is not good.

Have you heard of the 5 Love Languages? Everyone has a "love languange". Meaning that if they receive love in their language, then they will feel extremely loved.
They are (in no specific order):
* Quality Time - Someone who loves spending time with their loved ones (would rather stay at home with you or their family than go out with friends etc).
* Acts of Service - Someone who will do anything and everything for their loved ones, usually without even being asked (like doing the dishes or coming home after work and straight away asking if you would like him to cook dinner etc).
* Words of Affirmation - Someone who sings the praises of and lift up the people they love using loving, positive and admiring words (always thanking you or other family members for things that they have done or telling you constantly that they love you etc).
* Gifts - Someone who loves giving gifts to their loved ones and the gifts don't have to be worth a lot of money, just very thoughtful (like bringing home your favourite block of chocolate after work or giving you a loving card for no reason etc).
* Physical touch - Someone who enjoys physical touch over and above sex (like holding hands, cuddling and even just subtley touching their loved one like having their hand on their loved one's knee etc).
If your partner displays any of these qualities over and above any of the others, then that will mean that that particular "act" is their love language. Therefore, if they then receive what they do in return, it will be making them feel very loved.
If you don't know your new partner well enough, watch how he/she acts with their family members. He/she will display the same acts with them as well.

I hope when you say its your "first time" that your not talking about sex. I have no idea how old you are, but if your underage, that is younger then 16 years old, don't become sexually active. Never believe young men, they ALL lie, as they have one thing and one thing only on their minds! Be good to YOURSELF - a man catches a girl when she lets him.

Hun first and for most it depends on the type of guy he is...popular..shy...outgoing....or watever.Dont try to make an impression becasue if u havent told him....he'll probably think your naive. Just be yourself....dont try anythiing you wouldnt do...also get help from your female friends...As time go on you will get used to it and do more things....it'll be an exciting experience..!!!! Go for it!!!

Don't crowd him!! Don't be needy or whiny or ask him to hold your purse. Dont EVER take him shopping. Give him space and time and forgive him for being a guy... becuase guys are gross... but we can love them anyways. :)

Don't begrudge him his "guys time" and I really listen when he talks. DON'T BE CLINGY! I agree you need to be yourself- that is extraordinary enough isn't it? :)
