A friend of mine is researching how parents that were abused as children can sometimes be abusers to their own children. She doesn't have access to a computer and asked for my help. I need websites that I can go to and print off for her. Does anyone on here know of any??

Also part of her research is to ask different people if they believe it is true that the abuse does carry on to the next generation. I would greatly appreciate if someone can help me to help my friend.

i have read that it is 50% i did study this at college.
i can tell you that 100% of people that have obsessive complusive disorder were abused as children. this is a fact the medical community agrees on . the ocd people often dont agree with this . my understanding is that the abuse need only have happened for a short time a few years and may have happen when the child was very young. often the person has little or no memory of there childhood
i worked with one such person who could not tell me where or how she learned to ride a bike. when i asked her how she could have no memory of having a bike she shuts off. this was something i found common among the people who did have ocd
my work is in behaviour modification only . so i am limited in my knowledge of all aspects of child abuse.

Read John Bradshaw's The Family. It is all about how abuse is passed from generation to generation. John Bradshaw also has his own website.
