Sounds like puppies are on their way. Take her temp. It will dip below 99 12-24 hours before birth. Be ready to call or make a trip to the vet. Pugs are small and tend to have dystocia (problems giving birth). They are only so big, and the puppies (or puppy) may be to big to come out, turned wrong way, etc. You may want to give your vet a heads up that they may be on the way.

It sounds like she's getting close to whelping. One thing that will help you is to take her temperature (rectally) twice a day. Usually the dog's temperature will drop to about 98 degrees 12-24 hours before the pups arrive.

When she's ready to have her puppies she may whine a lot, pace around, and "nest build" (scrape up blankets and towels trying to make a nest for herself).

Keep her warm, and let her have a quiet place to have her babies. You can e-mail us if you need more help.

she will probally start pacing and doing odd things when she has these it will take her a while it could take a day just make sure you comfort her and make sure she cleans them off also make sure when she is done she eats the placenta i know it sounds sick but this is there thing also make sure you keep an eye on the runt usually the other puppies wont let this one eat so make sure when the otther dogs are done put her on the moms nipple
