In John 14: 16. “And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever” (John: 14: 16).

Parclete means “Muhammad” or “Ahmad.” The statement that the “Parclete will remain with us forever points to the eternal validity of Muhammad’s religion, book and way of life. God vowed to protect and preserve them. This is what is meant by “He will remain with you forever.”

The Bible and Torah have been changed many times so that future prophets would be ignored.

It is not only here in the New testament in the Bible but also:

In Deuteronomy 18, Moses (pbuh) stated that God told him: "I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their brothers; I will put my words in his mouth, and he will tell them everything I command. If anyone does not listen to my words that the prophet speaks in my name, I myself will call him to account." (Deuteronomy 18:18-19)

From this we can conclude:
1)he will be like Moses (pbuh)
2) he will be a brother of the Israelites the Ishmaelites
3) God will put his words in his mouth, and he will say that God commands

This would be Muhammad (pbuh)

1) Moses and Muhammad (pbut) were both given a law and life code

2)Mohammad (pbuh) was a decedent of Ismael brother of Isaac

3)The Quran was the word of God placed into the mouth of Muhammad (pbuh) not words of his own.

No other prophet has been able to for fill all before or after Muhammad (pbuh)

John 14:16 refers to the Holy Spirit who will live within us until the second coming. The New Covenant was to be written on our hearts leading away from legalism which is what the guidance of the HOly Spirit does. Muhammad lead straight back to the Old Testament legalism but even stricter so it couldn't be referring to him.

John 14:16 (below) is referring to the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of truth (Jn.14:17).

Jn.14:16And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Conforter, that he may abide with you forever.

I believe that the Bible did provide a clue that pointed towards the coming of Muhammad and the revelation of the Qur'an from an angel.

Fortunately, Galatians 1:8 warns us ... "But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let him be eternally condemned!"

The parclete is the Holy Spirit. It's definatly not muhammed due to the fact that Jesus was speaking to his apostles... muhammed came 500 years after they died. But your right muhammed is mentioned in the bible search false prophet, I'm sorry but couldn't someone teach muhammed the part in the bible that said even if an angel of light preaches another gospel then the ones Jesus preached it is false.

God Bless.

i dont know why do u guys think that this verse means that its talking about muhammed, although truly means"holy spirit" , but whats weard that muslims drop to conclutions that regards their prophet or their religion, how about asking christians first? or studying history? (i visited the links posted)

its not wise to xtians that they ignore someone who will be a prophet>>>>> muhammed isnt mentioned,

think about it , if the bible mentioned someone in the future, wouldnt it mention his name? or xtians would know that previosly? ex, all xtians believe in the messiah and omen will come in the future, right?

although i am not a xtian but i dont like lies,i think that the quistion that whoever posted it is for muslims to believe that muhanned is mentioned in the quran , so they can remain in their faith , as we saw every xtian said in two words "parclete=holy spirit", so plz think before u say something, or atleast ask , dont make conclutions that suits u and ur faith, i am not an anti-muslims , i just love to say whats true and whats false

The Greek word used at John 14:16 that is translated "Comforter" is "parakletos," NOT Muhammad or Ahmad. Parakletos means:

1) summoned, called to one's side, esp. called to one's aid
a) one who pleads another's cause before a judge, a pleader, counsel for defense, legal assistant, an advocate
b) one who pleads another's cause with one, an intercessor
1) of Christ in his exaltation at God's right hand, pleading with God the Father for the pardon of our sins
c) in the widest sense, a helper, succourer, aider, assistant
1) of the Holy Spirit destined to take the place of Christ with the apostles (after his ascension to the Father), to lead them to a deeper knowledge of the gospel truth, and give them divine strength needed to enable them to undergo trials and persecutions on behalf of the divine kingdom.

This is obviously not Muhammad. Besides, if you read further in Chapter 14, Jesus tells us who this "Comforter" is:

25 “These things I have spoken to you while being present with you. 26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you."

Comforter = Parakletos = Holy Spirit

the Comforter was the Holy Spirit. and parakletOS was the word used in the Bible, meaning "one of the same essense", as Jesus is God, and so is the Holy Spirit. the NT was written in Greek, not aramaic, so make sure you get the right translation.

sorry, but Muhammed is not a part of the Christian faith. at all.

The Greek word "Paracletos" (meaning Comforter, Counsellor, Advocate,) and it was never written as: "Periklutos", (supposed to be the meaning of Muhammed in greek ) that is, the "praised one" as Muslims like to say.

"And I will pray the Father, and he will give you another Comforter, to be with you for ever, even the Spirit of Truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him; you know him, for he dwells with you, and will be in you".
John 14.16-17.

"To be with you FOREVER
Jesus promised his disciples that God would send the Comforter to them. He would send the Spirit of Truth to Peter, and to John, and to the rest of the disciples - not to Meccans. Medinans or Arabians.

"The Spirit of Truth whom the world CANNOT receive".
The Qur'an says that Muhammad came as a universal messenger to men (Surah 34.28). If so, Jesus was not referring to Muhammad for he said that the world cannot receive the Comforter, the Spirit of Truth.

"But the Comforter, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you".
John 14.26

"But when the Comforter comes, whom I shall send you from the Father, even the Spirit of Truth, who proceeds from the Father, he will bear witness to me".
John 15.26

"Nevertheless I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Comforter will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you".
John 16.7

"To be with you FOREVER
When Muhammad came he did not stay with his people forever but died in 632 AD and his tomb is in Medina where his body has lain for over 1300 years. Nevertheless Jesus said that the Comforter, once he had come, would never leave his disciples, but would be with them forever.

"You KNOW him".
It is quite obvious from this statement that the disciples knew the Spirit of Truth. As Muhammad was only born more than five hundred years later, it certainly could not be him. The next clause brings out just how the disciples knew him. At this stage we can see quite clearly that the Comforter is a spirit who was in the disciples' presence already

He dwells WITH you".
Where did the Comforter dwell with them? From various verses, especially John 1.32, we can see that the Spirit was in Jesus himself and so was with the disciples.

7. "He will be IN you".
Here is dealt to the theory that Muhammad is the Comforter, the Spirit of Truth. As the Spirit was in Jesus, so he would be in the disciples as well. The Greek word here is "en" and this means "right inside". So Jesus was in fact saying "he will be right inside you".

You seem to pick out of the Gospel what is convenient to Islam. It's a bit of a dilema isn't it? The Quran tells you to believe in the Gospel but what is true? You've been told it has been changed. But where is the proof of change. Have you been looking for that or do you just believe someones claim?
