depending on how much you use - thw more chapstick / gloss you use the more your lips will depend on it for moisture, after a while they will stop making there own becuase there will be too much, so when you stop they dry out.
im not saying this is happening to you, just a fact.
try eating oranges, they help with dry chapped lips, also with sores on the egde of your mouth. make sure your diet is right and your getting all the vitamins you need. you may be missing something thats causing your body to not operate properly.
aleo vera is a great healer plant. try applying some of that, dont lick it off though, its horrible.
Vaseline will take the soreness of the 'dry' away for a while but you need to reaply.

put vasiline on your lips at night, I use chapstick brand chapstick and not the cheapy stuff. I carry it in my pocket all day, summer and winter and use it often. It works just fine for me! give it a try. good luck!

You could try some of the Blistex lip products, or even better Carmex-carma labs.com. Then just carry it around with you & apply often.

news story said to never use chapstick, cause it make the condition worse. makes your lips "forget" how to make their own moisture. use Blistex with Moisture in the tube or Burts Bees all natural chapstick.

Try neosporin at night - it's like vaseline, but has healing ingredients too.
