Dont go looking for a gf with the attitude that "i want one, i must have one, anyoine will do" otherwise you will be played an turn into someone your not. you sound like an okay guy even though the description was short, if you like pottery go take a pottery class an meet chicks there (they'll at least dig the same things you do) or go swimming at teh beach or pool, meet heaps of chicks that way. assuming your 'of age' go out clubs, pubs, or local cafes or jazz clubs, go to the park etc and places like that there are women around everywhere its just a matter of striking the right convesrtaion with the right one! good luck!

Do not try so hard babes, trust that there is someone out there for everyone and that when the time is right you will find her. I know it is not easy but if you force it you will only have to deal with the heartache when it goes wrong.
