Take some scotch and pour it into a martini glass.
Swish it around.
Pour the scotch back in the bottle.
Now pour the gin in the martini glass.
You will have a very very, dry Martini. Prefer olive, but onion is good too.

Dry or sweet vermouth
Olives
Fill martini glass with ice and water.
Add gin to a shaker with ice.
Shake until very cold.
Dump out ice water in chilled glass.
Add small amount of vermouth to glass, swirl around glass and discard excess.
Fill chilled glass with gin and garnish with an olive.

Beefeater....large olives(preferrably cheese stuffed) or pearl onions,dry Vermouth...container to shake the drink..and a James Bond Girl.
