As soon as I finished reinstalling a Rockwell HCF 56K RTAD Data Fax Modem, I got the error message "COMFIX caused an invalid page fault in module KERNEL32.DLL". The modem does not work, and it did not work before I reinstalled the driver, either. The modem stopped working when I installed some Windows Updates. Since then, I have downloaded a driver from the Internet, which is the one I installed when I got the Invalid Page Fault error. How do I make this modem work? Thank you.

Have you checked for an updated driver for the modem? It may be that your old driver is not compatable with the newly updated windows you are using. Check out this website for drivers:

Update to a more recent operating system. Windows 98 isn't supported any more.
