I think these things pop up along with other controversies (bible inconsistencies...whether Jesus was crucified....if he was, was it on a cross or a stake or a tree) to deter people from what is most important - what Jesus taught by example.
"The The" had a song in the 80's called Armageddon Days. One of the lines always stuck with me - "The world is on its elbows and knees. It's forgotten the message and worships the creeds."
I personally believe it's very possible Jesus was married. I believe it's possible that everything in the bible is not exactly as it should be. But does that mean that Jesus's message meant nothing, or that I don't love God or want to do what I know in my heart is right? God, I hope not.
The only thing that matters is the main message that was given....love. Looking beyond the imperfections in each other and seeing the heart. Once you have that down, then things like this that pop up seem quite silly and desperate. It's all a distraction.

They uncovered a burial tomb with bones, did DNA tests to prove they were not related. They must have been married because they were close together. Ever look at tombs today? They are close together to save room.
They have to pay for the dig so why not link them to a controversial topic, make a documentary, and the get some publicity to sell the show.
Jesus was married. Not a chance. The people who wrote about Jesus were a lot closer in time to him then these guys.
I think they are watching too much CSI.

frst of all, who on this earth could find the bones of anyone from even 200 years ago much less 2,000 and say with any certainty who those bones belonged to?
Secondly, the name Jesus was a common name then - there was not just one man at hte time named Jesus.
Common sense and simple REAL science- a first grader could figure this out.
The only ones that will run with this are the ones that are so defiant yet weak in their own unbelief that they will hold tightly to anything, regardless of how little sense it makes, make it make ense to them and talk enough of a good game to get others to regurgitate their ideas without doing any real research of their own and putting it to the common sense test- look how well it worked with evolution!
I don't think this ignorance warrants a bit of attention from any intelligent person, believer or not.

It did not phase me one bit, Because I know Jesus rose from the dead & he is sitting in heaven as our mediator, & when Christ rose from the dead he rosed with a Immortal body, Those so call ones they found bones is all false that they are the bones of Jesus. God resurrection all of Christ & did not leave anything in the tomb. How could Jesus stand after the resurrection if his bones was left in the tomb, He needed his bones so he could stand up. Satan is trying all he can to run away from the truth, Why, because his time is Very, very, short.

The reports of Christ's bones being found are greatly exaggerated.
As I think most of the evidence the dude (can't remember his name) found supporting it is rubbish. Keep in mind that I'm an atheist, so don't take this to mean I don't think it wouldn't be a *good* thing if the bones were actually found, I just don't think they have been. Yet.

I got very angry at the media putting that garbage on air. The Bible spoke of times like these when men would try to place doubt on His Word. He said "Even the very elect would be fooled". A lot of people questioned their faith today, and that's what satan wants. God Is Awesome, and he would never lie. don't let the lies and deceit of this world challenge your faith. Keep your heart, mind, body, and soul on God and Jesus and The Holy Spirit. God Bless You My Brothers and Sisters In Christ! Amen!

Is this another way of having a go at Christians? Christianity is a Faith, a belief that has been attacked for two centuries and yet a rock. Blessed are those who are persecuted in my name..........

For a split second I was questioning it myself, but then I realized that this like everything else is just another iron on the fire to get everyone to denounce the name of Christ. FUnny thing is that it never really does. It just makes me stronger and wanting more and more to spread HIS word and LOVE. Good day and God Bless.

No the papers are just rubbish...I believe in Jesus...He was dead and resuscitated after 3 days. Those media articles are trying to deviate our faith by ridiculous examples.

I think it was about time someone looked into it. For all you christians who still believe carry on just the way you are. Sometimes we see things and don't believe and don't see and believe. But who am I to say.
