if you wanted a girl a year ago really bad, but for certain circumstances you could not have her, would that desire always be there? If you hear her voice? Hear her name? or see her face? would you ever think of her?

depends. 2 years ago i wanted a woman. she seemed to want me the same. I had just divorced and she was an ear for me to talk to / shoulder to cry on. She called me, texted me, visited me.... I was honest about my feelings. She didnt tell me she was living with a man who was helping her financially with her two teenage kids. If she were naked in front of me offering me money to be with her i wouldnt desire her. I am indifferent to her now. I see her sometimes. If it is thru dishonesty or playing hard to get, desire leaves. if life interviened and it couldnt come to pass, then possibly desire remains. Good luck

Yes, I might, but with no reinforcement, or encouragement, that feeling is bound to fade over time.
Relationships, need to be nourished, if they aren't they just die.
So although you may think of her, now and then, you have a life to live, and to share. So you will find someone, who is there, and available and will love you back.
