For me, I have a hard time with a hair phobia...touching other people's hair, and or if it gets near my food, I have to usually toss the whole dish or sandwich out..etc...I also USED to have to count out things...like how many times I washed my hair with one shampoo...it had to be either an odd number or an even number..(I felt like a raisin by the time I got out of the shower! LOL!) I am not like this now...thank GOd!!! I also had to check to see if I turned off the lights, stove...etc...I finally took a group/class on the subject..and I decided..."If I haven't turned the stuff off, when I am already out the door, "Oh well! I guess the apartment will blow up!" That wasn't that easy to do...but, hey, ya gotta do it! to cure yourself!!! I still have some "unfinished business" but, I am taking my time! LOL! what about you all? Any annoying O.C.D.Habits...you would like to "unload",and get off of your back, for good? What are the worst ones for you? why?

I also don't like when somebody takes a bite out of my apple, or piece of fruit..or a "swig" from a bottle that I am drinking! Yuk!
I don't like to physically touch people all that much...it kind of makes me "see" the invisible germs!(Strange, I know!)
I also don't like touching old, old things, and then eating right after ...having "old germs" mixed with liquidy food germs...grosses me out..alot!(maybe it is all in my imagination!LOL!)
also, when people wipe their noses, and then grab your hand...ewwwww!!! So grosss! Yukko!!!

when I was younger...certain pieces of utensils...like spoons..or forks or whatever...I was VERY picky, which ones I wanted to eat from...I would only pick "The cleaner designed ones'....I don't know what I would see in the others...but, that is what o.c.d. does to you!! I also, had to physically look at a light switch twice...then, blink and do it again..and or say aloud "on, on!" and "off ,off!"...to make sure I turned them on or off...I also for years...would check the back of my shirts, sweaters, coats, etc...before putting any of them on.I made myself, just totally quit doing that....it needed to end, ya know? It's very frustrating living with these stupid habits...you just have to break yourself of them...slowly but surely! My father broke himself of his...years ago...he would throw bread on the ground, and pick it up and eat it.(He had a huge fear of germs!) I figured that if he could do it, so could I!!!

Good luck to all of those, who have suffered like so many of us!

I have minor OCD-like habits. If someone wrote on my notebooks or books in high school, I immediately had to throw the page out and rewrite my notes or recover my book. In college, I still can't stand if someone writes in my notes or on my body (hand, arm etc.) I cannot deal with open doors, I freak out about them. I have a two door car and if someone gets out of the back seat, they need to push the seat back to its original position. I do not allow anyone to make my bed, otherwise I rip the sheets off and flip out, then I do it myself. Also, when I sleep, my bed has to be made while I'm in it. I keep a blanket on my bed and it can't be folded in a corner or anything and my sheets need to be tucked in tight, with my bed against the wall or I can't sleep and I am 20 years old and still throw minor tantrums about it. I used to be really bad when I was little, I used to cry and throw my shoes at my mother if my socks were crooked, that is, the line above the toes being shifted over under my foot. She also had to sit on the toilet seat to warm it up when I was very young otherwise I would refuse to get ready for the day. If I shuffle one foot by accident, I have to shuffle the other one so that it makes the same sound and during the fall, if I hear a crunchy leaf on the road, I need to step on it, even if it means walking in front of cars. I also don't step on cracks, even if I have to leap or take baby steps. Also when I was little, in a car, I would look out the window and for every pole that I saw, I would imagine it being cut down, and I couldn't miss one.
