I just had a copper IUD put in. I was wondering what to expect as far as pain and bleeding. Would the worse have already came?

I had a copper IUD and had bad pain until the minute it was removed. So I didn't have good luck with it.

Hope you have a better experience!

i've had a copper iud for almost a year now and i've never had any pain or bleeding it's the best thing for me. i did have a friend who had to take it out because it would keep on moving and wouldn't stay in place so it didn't work for her!!

A friend of mine had one put in in 1980 and it caused her nothing but pain and bleeding. I'm surprised they still use them.

copper IUDs have more hormones in them than the merina one does which can cause your body to reject it any way it knows how. I suggest that you have it removed and get the merina. i cant even begin to tell you how much better it is.
