I've never heard of something like that, but this is what I do. I grab a legal pad and pen. I look at the first thing I want to make and think about what I have and need. I write down things needed for that recipe. Then I look at the next recipe. What can I reuse, still have, or need? Then write down those. Repeat.

If I've written something down that I discover I need two or three of by the time I'm done, I just put little tick mark besides it like II or III for two or three. Then I've got an easy shopping list and it only took me 15-20 minutes.

(This works really well for party planning.)

There's no UNIVERSAL grocery list.. you really just need to look at the recipes of the things you want to make and go from there.

The way to do that is to check out your fridge and pantry. When you go shopping make sure that every ingredient that you'll need is on it...Use a large calendar to write out the menu for the day.....
