That true love does not see the outer appearance of a person, but rather, the beauty of the personality. The reason for Cupid being depicted as blind is to emphasise that love does not use the eyes to love..Rather, it uses the heart.. =)

That love is blind for it was the cupid who shoots the arrows of love between two lovers that people may have disagreed upon. Which made the cupid blind.
