I'm very close to God, but my sibilings arent. I have two sisters 17 and 20 and a brother whose a big frat partying boy and he's turning 20 in a few days. They were religious when they were 12 or so and I believe they are all saved my oldest sister calls herself a Christian and prays to him, but she doesn't exactly live as one. I know that I'm going to heaven, with my wonderful parents but how can it be Heaven with the ones I can't live without. I think about it a lot and I cry over it, how can I enjoy heaven without all of my family.

I'm very close to my sibilings, thankyou. I'm not forcefeeding them anything they don't want to hear. I suppose I'll just have to accept it for it is...I don't want to forget them though, I don't think that would be very loving.

I came across this question and wasn't planning on answering it, just rating answers.. However in rating them, I didn't see any answer that was a good one, so here is my opinion..
Just because someone doesn't live like they are saved doesn't necessarily mean that they aren't. It just means that they have strayed from God. If I were you and were that concerned about my siblings, I would come out and ask them if they have given their lives to Christ and asked for forgiveness for their sins. This way, if they tell you they have then you can live in peace knowing that they too will go to heaven. If they say no however, then you need to do witness to them and make them see why they should be saved. You will probably get pushed away a bit, but just keep at it till they give you an answer. Let them know that you're not trying to harass them or anything, but you just care about them and about how they will spend eternity.
You will not remember earthly people in heaven. It says so in the Bible. To me, that is a bit sad to think about, however in heaven we are going to be so happy and overwhelmed at being with Christ that it isn't going to matter! We are all the brides of Christ and if we could remember our friends and family from earth, heaven wouldn't be able to be a perfect place.

Rac you are lost. First off I am no Biblical scholar, but I read it. In it I have never heard anything like that. When you die whether you have accepted Jesus as your personal savior or not you will be judged. On this day those who didn't accept Jesus in "this" life will be denied paradise. In Matthew 7:22-23 Jesus said "On judgement day many will tell me, 'Lord, Lord, we prohesied in your name and cast out demons in your name and performed many miracles in your name.' But I will reply, 'I never knew you. Go away; the things you did were unauthorized." And to get more to the point of what I am getting at there is this one.......Matthew 10:33 But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven. If you don't accept Jesus here there is no restart no second chance, this is our second chance. This life is it. And I have to add that I read the Bible, and I am a Baptist, when I get to heaven and find out that I was wrong ok I was wrong. But I follow what the Lord has commanded me to follow set forth in the Bible.
Now about the original question at hand. The day we see Jesus we are not going to care about where our wifes, husbands, brothers, or any other member of our family is. We will only care about Jesus. We will be so busy praising him and spending time with him that nothing else will matter.

Well, maybe instead of worrying about the afterlife, perhaps you should worry about spending time with your brother and sisters now. If you hang out with them and just be a good sister to your siblings you'll probably learn to understand them and understand why Christianity may not be working for them. Do you see where I'm going with this? Also - if you're younger, you might find yourself changing your mind about your own religion at some point in the future. Just remember you can't change others. And you can't live life dwelling on death either. You're only torturing yourself.

That made me very sad when I was a child too. One of the most insideous things about the belief system is tormenting kids with those kinds of thought - about people they love having to suffer in hell.
If it's any consolation to you - a (sinful) human parent wouldn't do this to their children, would they? Then you can rest assured that a perfect, loving, moral god could never do it too. Try not to fret about it hon.

I'm speaking from the other side of this-since my family is religious and I am not. What you need to understand is that your siblings just don't have the same beliefs as you do. And I think it's sad that your religion is making your siblings outcasts. My family has mistreated me since I changed my mind about religion and stopped going to church. Please don't let your church cause you to mistreat your siblings. It hurts when your family chooses religion over you. Try to love them and don't worry about the next life so much. Trying to force them to go back to church will only make things worse. It is your religion that is making you sad, not your siblings.

I believe that you will have a completely different mind-set when you are in heaven. You will understand that if they aren't Christians they deserve hell.
1 John 2:15-17
Do not love the world or the things in the world. The love of the Father is not in those who love the world; for all that is in the world--the desire of the flesh, the desire of the eyes, the pride in riches--comes not from the Father but from the world. And the world and its desire are passing away, but those who do the will of God live forever.
Matthew 10:37-39
He who loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; and he who loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me; and he who does not take his cross and follow me is not worthy of me. He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for my sake will find it.

Pray for them with confidence!
If the Spirit of God did a work in their lives when they were younger, then He will call them back to Himself.
In the meantime, keep praying and believing for them, and show consistent love and kindness to them. It is not by what we say so much, but how we live before people, that really counts.
Be a good witness - bless you

You have discovered one of the most wonderful things about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It is called the Plan of Salvation. It includes the sealing powers of the priesthood. Christ suffered and died that all of us might return to His presence if we will repent of our worldliness and accept Him and follow His teachings and commandments all of our days. That having been said, he provided a way for us to be sealed as families for all eternity in the temples of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We have the priesthood authority directly from Christ to seal in heaven as in earth. Thus, worthy members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints can enter the temples and be sealed as husband and wife for all eternity and then have their children sealed to them and be sealed to their parents and so forth. Thus, those that don't have the opportunity to accept the Gospel in this life can have the sealing work done for them vicariously in the temples. All can study these truths, be converted by them, repent, be baptized, receive the Holy Ghost and prepare themselves to enter the temples for these saving ordinances to be performed. You will then have all your family with you in heaven as it should be.
I urge you to contact the Church and find out more about this wonderful doctrine. It sounds like the answer you are seeking.

If you believe in christianity's teachings then you should enjoy the eternal torment of your former loved ones who didn't make it into heaven.

I believe that when you get to Heaven, those who you knew on Earth who did not make the trip are simply erased from your memory. You can not miss what you do not know. This is the only way I can see Heaven bieng Heaven.
