Today i had a barium swallow done at the hospital, and now i am having really bad stomach cramps. Is this normal? Thanks!

You need to drink A LOT of water. Barium dries in the colon, causing constipation. It will feel like a rock in there.

Hm....I've had those but don't remember having cramps. Make sure you take some kind of laxitive to help you pass it as it will harden in your intestinal tract. I hate barium swallows!

eww yuk they are horrible you have to drink lots of water to flush the gunk out if it continues id be ringing you doctor if it continues xoxo
