I seen them before, but never had one I found a link that shows them. Wispa was a chocolate bar made by Cadbury for the U.K. and Ireland market. It was similar to Aero, but the bubbles were smaller, giving it a velvety, "textured" feel. It was first introduced in 1981, and it came in a distinctive blue package with red letters. The Wispa brand was discontinued by Cadbury in 2003 when the product was renamed Dairy Milk Bubbly to capitalise on the brand equity in Dairy Milk.

Yes and yes they were lush. I remember listening to the radio a few months and they had a disscusion about this. Apparently if you get enough people to ring and email they will bring wispas back. Start a petition..lol.

20 years in the past I used to purchase a chocolate bar called 'Metro'. the only place I ever observed them became the kiosk at Twickenham Railway Station - which became reachable because it is how I used to get to college subsequently I had one maximum mornings. Has all of us ever heard of those? I surely have on no account met yet another residing (or lifeless) individual who knew approximately them. They have been outstanding!

Technically, they're still around. They just got renamed to "Dairy Milk Bubbles" (see http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/west_midlands/3008325.stm)I
But it's still not quite the same is it?

You can join the online petition to get them back (some people have far too much time on their hands) http://www.gopetition.co.uk/petitions/bring-back-cadburys-spira-and-wispa.html

wispas were my fave ever! but as it was cadburys they started getting rid of them and the orginal caramel etc and replaced it with that generic dairy milk packaging, eg dairy milk with caramel. wispas became the bubbly one but theyre just not the same...

i loved how shiny they were!!
