the goal should not necessarily be a house that uses no electricity. but instead, uses clean and renewable energy. things like solar and wind power.

Al Gore just uses all the energy that he wants and then buys "energy credits" to come up with zero energy. Don't you suppose that he invented "energy credits" as well. I can hardly wait for Hollywood to convince him to run again. Do you think he'll use chads again or will it be faulty voting machines?

You move somewhere warm and remote (like the amazon). You build a house and live a substinance lifestyle.

Basically, you will need to go somewhere where you won't have ANY need for electricity AT ALL. It'll take some time to adapt...

Quite simply, you don't, unless you live in an area where the temperature never drops below 55°F, and do not cook any food whatsoever.
