There is this guy I know who thinks he knows eveything and he knows nothing about NASCAR and he was saying how you can bring in a 12 pack of beer to a race. I thought that was wrong so I decided to come on here and ask. It seems like the answer would be no and that it would vary at each track.

Well your friend is right. You can bring in a cooler that is a certain size and the contents have to be can's or plastic. No bottles. You can also mix your drinks before hand and bring them with you also. They usually sell beer and other drinks at some of the race tracks. I've only been to TX. and Homestead, and you can buy them there.

You can bring 50 beers and 10 bottles of Jack Daniels if you want. The only rule is no glass bottles. As long as your drinks are in aluminum or plastic, you're good to go. That's my favorite thing about NASCAR, you are not forced to buy the concessions. You can bring in food too. I know this true with the southern tracks, I've heard the west coast tracks are different.

Yes you can. I go to several races every year, and I bring a cooler filled with beer into every race. It is allowed, the only rules are the cooler cannot be over 14" and you can't bring bottles in, it must be cans. The only track I have been too where you were not able to bring in your own beer is the Kentucky Speedway, they don't have a nextel race anyway, they only have busch race.

You can bring in a soft sided cooler at most tracks. And they only ask that you not bring in bottles. If you walked up to the gate with a 12 pack still in the box, then you'd get turned away. But if you have a big cooler, then you could get them in.

My cooler holds up to 18 cans and it's a wonderful thing!

YES!!
bring a soft sided cooler that is close to the dimensions each track specifies (mine is slighly larger, but I have never been told to leave it)
I can hold Ice and 18 beers in it!!!!
The major rule is, it has to fit between your legs and allow other fans to get out of there seats to pee during a caution. The key is to get drunk the night before the race, so you are dehydrated, and won't have to go as often

At Texas, they have certain cooler sizes you can bring, I dont know the size but it's pretty big. That's 1 cooler per person... and no glass bottles around.

I've been able to go with 1 friend (and my dad) and bring about 30 beers between all of us.

The only track I know for a fact that you cant bring in beer to is Phoenix. Michigan regulates the size of your cooler. Most you can bring beer into.

At Texas Motor Speedway I see every race. I have taken a 24 pack of beer as well as chips and sandwiches with me. As long as you can fit it in a 14 by 14 cooler and it isn't glass, you can bring it.

Hell yes, but you'll need 2 coolers. I cann't remember the size of coolers allowed but doesn't hold a 12 pack with ice. There has not been a single track make us throw them out. They even look in the cooler. Just remember one thing, don't leave it unattended, someone will take it!!!! You can check your ticket for size. Have Fun!!! Can I GO?????
