Hi.

I had a colonoscopy today and they removed a paulup ... just one and everything else was fine except doctor gave me prescription for fiber.

I just wondered what he removed.

Well I would have asked questions if I was my normal self and not right after having concious sedation.

Actually I don't remember anything the doctor said ... I had to ask my sister who drove me home what was said ... I go back in 4 years I just found out.

A polyp is an abnormal growth, quite often they are harmless.

You had a polyp removed and didn't ask any questions? Come on. A polyp is a growth of cells which don't belong where they are growing, and can develop into a cancer mass. You are fortunate that you were screened and had it removed. You should be eating more fruits, vegetables and cereals to keep your fiber intake where it belongs. Do everything your doctor tells you, and don't goof off. Best wishes
