I always generally thought it was women who "felt" the most for their partner first. And the guys were the ones that would distance themselves for a while.

Why is it with me I'm always the one that doesn't feel as much as the guy feels for me? It's been like this all my life, maybe I just hadn't found someone who I liked?

Are you the one that falls first??

It is almost always the woman. It is the way we are made. Women are generally driven by emotion while men are usually driven by logic. Therefore, the woman feels the emotional connection first.

Something I learned in one of my gender studies classes is that men actually fall in love first. Men express their love differently though, they give sex, protection, provide for you, ensure material survival, share activities, spend time together, sacrifice for you, etc. They don't express love the way women do though. Men believe in the myths of love at first sight more than women do (more proof that guys base love on physical attraction). They fall in love and out of love faster than women because of this. You are just being an average woman, just like me.

I have numbers and statistics for you if you want. It's all from a book called "Gendered Society" by Michael Kimmel.

So give it time, you'll find that guy who sweeps you off your feet.

Maybe you are just the kind that is waiting for that perfect person..be careful not to let it clog your image of the perfect person that is right in front of you. Stars are in your favor
