your home when they can see you tend that bit of grass with tender loving care to keep your home looking tidy?

Yes, my road is often busy with school parking, but they do it when there's nothing on the other side (yellow zig zags prohibiting parking) and even weekends when the road is totally clear!

This is a VERY simple question and one that applies in MY road.

Some people are sh1t people.

Some aren't.

Sh1t people park on the grass, the rest of us don't.

I am absolutley AMAZED at the amount of people on here who think it is OK to park on the grass. I absolutely despair at the state of some grass verges which have become mud-baths because of these selfish ignorant plebs.

I say I have an extensive knowledge of sh1t people (gained through 30 years in the Metropolitan Police). Now Yahoo! Answers is increasing it.

I can add the people on here who have tried to justify their anti-social laziness to my list.

You could always try a length of barbed wire in among the grass. Perhaps a few burst tyres will give the lazy mothers and obese children a bit more thought when parking.

Other than that you could always put a small fence round the grassed area. Assuming the land belongs you. If it doesn't then not a lot you can do.

Why don't all those people who do it just look around and find a CAR PARK or would that mean stretching there legs a bit.
I have noticed where I live it is usually the school run people, not all women ,and they arrive 30 minutes before schools out to catch up with the latest gossip.

Some people think only of what they want without considering the wants and needs of others. They are selfish and inconsiderate. They are the people who shout the loudest when they don't get what they want immediately or if anyone does something they don't like.
You might want to leave shards of glass or tacks on the places where they park. They may stop after paying for new tires. Unfortunately it spoils your grass too.

I do it so that I leave more room for the cars driving past on the road. Plus it saves my car from getting scratched.

Also, what if a fire engine needs to get down the street and struggles due to people like you parking correctly on the road?

What difference does it make if we park half-on half-off?

I can only assume you have nothing else to moan about. Have you thought about channeling your time and effort into a more worthwhile cause?

Good luck!

Oh boy! This is my pet hate. Why do the Police not report drivers who park their vehicles on the pavement/road? I have asked the Police who passed me on to the Local Authority who passed me back to the Police ............ Nothing is done and sometimes the footpaths are completely obstructed by the morons who don't care about wheel chairs or prams. I don't wonder why some are 'keyed' though I hasten to add that this is equally reprehensible and also an offence.
Time somebody got this under control.

Possibly because they don't like the look of the road for traffic. If there is any hint of a narrowish or difficult road, with lots of traffic, I might try to lessen the amount of space my car took on the road.

However you can strain stuff on your car, like your tyres, if you leave one side high up on kerb/payment and otherside on road for prolong time.

For the police turn a blind eye to it ,and they do nothing about it .so the plonkers keep on parking on the grass verge .

How cheesed off would you be if they didnt park on the grass and you either couldnt get past or you damaged your car squeezing past - maybe they are being just a bit considerate and not only making sure their car doesnt get damaged but also making sure no one elses car gets damaged
