Was he a he? Males like to roam, when females are in heat the do alot of it! He really shouldn't be outside, we have lost a few kitties because they were kept outdoors and learned the hard way. If you find him or replace him, please keep the cat indoors. Outside really is no place for a cat anymore. Once I had a neighbor poison my cat b/c he was allergic to cats and killed my baby!!! Alot of people are cruel and I see cats all the time run over dead in the middle of the road and just left there...most people don't put collars on cats with information about the owners and sometimes other people will find them wandering around alone and take them...Sometimes they keep them and sometimes they take them to a shelter, check there and run an ad in your newspaper and Good luck.

Don't give up. We recently found the owners of a cat that had been hanging around us for about 8 weeks (and we later found out had been missing for 4 months all up!).
The cats owners had only given up two weeks ago and we were looking for them, but for various reasons (sliding doors) our paths didn't cross until last week. It was a very happy ending. Hope you have one too. Try a small ad in your local paper?

My sister had a cat that was gone for almost 6 months. He came home (to her new house) after she moved. Don't give up he might show up one day. Male cats love to wander around.
You could try calling the humane shelter and see if they have him or put up some posters too. GOOD LUCK

there's nothing you can do about him. he may be fine, or he may not be with us anymore. it's hard not knowing. but if you want you can get anohter cat, i'm sure it wasn't that you didn't love enough.
i had a young cat once that went missing for months, i got a new kitten, and that same week this large adult cat was meowing and pawing at the door as if he lived there... i took a closer look at him at it was the youngster who had disappeared! if it hadn't been for his distinctive crroked tail i don't think i would have recognized him! someone else had taken him in, i think, as he was very healthy looking (a bit rotund, actually!)
maybe keep your next one exclusively indoors. it is safer for them and extends their lives.

He may come back just be calm. Put up adds around the neighborhood saying "MISSING CAT! BEEN GONE FOR A MONTH!" and descibe him but dont forget to say hes been gone for a month. If someone found him and kept him they may say "Well I found him a month ago, he coulnt be hers!" so make sure you put that down.
Sorry hes missing.

Well, if you didn't get him fixed , he might be looking for females, he may come back on his own. Maybe ask around, put up flyers, go to all the SPCA's and ask them if they have him, and put a flyer there, offer a reward, if someone turns him in. And if you get him back, get him fixed, he wont run off anymore.
