If you had to pick recipes to put in a portfolio, out of categories (main dish, desserts, etc.), which 2 would you pick out of the following (i already hav main dishes, appetizers, & desserts): side dishes, breads, or soups? whichevr u think would b best, tell me. thanks.

I would pick side dishes and soups.
You have alot of choices and variety in each catagory and that's always the hardest part of the meal to come up with--the side dishes, I mean, so I would be interested in a good book with alot of side dishes to pick from.
As far as soups, I love soups and there are so many creations. With the carb issues, diets, etc, that's why soups would be my other choice.

I'd go with the bread and soup categories. Bread and soup could practically be considered sides anyway. (Plus, those are the sections of a cookbook I look at more than sides.)

I guess I would have to add soup too...it's hearty and healthy and often can be made up of what you have leftover!!! :)
