Does anybody have any opinions on the Jetta or The Mazda 3 or Both??

Question

Does anybody have any opinions on the Jetta or The Mazda 3 or Both?? Which is better or at the very least tell me what you know about each. I have read a lot on the internet and I am still torn between leasing a Jetta or a Mazda 3. I need some feedback and help in making the decision. THANKS!

I think you should re-consider leasing. It's the most expensive way to get a car. Secondly, it is very hard to get out of a lease. Look at www.leasetrader.com. Lots of people are trying to pass their leases on.

Both cars you selected are good cars. I personally think the Jettas are priced to high.
Mazda3 is a cute, fun to drive car, with good gas mileage. My concern here would be the company's future. With the Chinese moving into the US auto market, in years to come, someone is going to get squeezed out.
Mazda's share of the market is too small to continue to be a world wide manufacturer.
I am a firm believer in buying a two-year-old used car with less than 24,000 miles on the odometer. By then all of the bugs are ironed out and some vehicles lose half of their value, like Dodge Neon or Hyundai.

Ok, first DON'T lease the car. You are just paying for a car and have to give it back. What's the point?

The Mazda 3 is nice, my brother has one. Roomy, handles ok but not great, good gas mileage, and low cost.

The Jetta is very nice. Lots of options, safe, handles well, don't know about gas mileage.

Personally, I wouldn't get either of these. I lean more toward Subaru. The AWD handling is amazing. I have the WRX. Turbo charged 4 cylinder, AWD, 5-speed, 24mpg, top speed 142mph, 0-60 in 4.9seconds. Oh, makes me wanna go driving!
