I just moved out of my parents home and now I have to cook for myself. Can you please tell me if you know of a website that have very simple meals. Or if you have a simple and quick recipe that you could share with me that would be great too. I don't know anything about cooking and I hardly have any cooking utensils either. So please keep it very simple and tell me every detail on what to do. Please help me before I starve to death! :)

Okay... so you don't have a lot of utensils, so here's a couple of easy recipes that anyone can make:

Souper Chili
1 Can chili (any kind)
1 can corn (get the niblets because there's no juice in it)
1 can stewed tomatoes

Combine all and heat on the stove. Delicious and will make four-6 servings so will feed for awhile.

Chicken & Rice
2 boneless chicken breasts (frozen is fine)
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 bag lipton chicken rice (it's like rice a roni, but doesn't have to be browned first).
1/4 cup milk
1 cup chicken broth (canned is fine)

Put the chicken breasts in a baking dish (9x9, 8x8, round cake pan, deep dish pie plate, casserole dish, whatever, doesn't really matter it just has to be able to go into the oven and hold all the food). Next add the rice, just dump it around the chicken. Then add the mushroom soup. Now pour in 1 cup of chicken broth (about half the can). Add the milk and bake for 40 minutes in on 350 degrees in the oven. Delicious!

SUPER EASY Enchiladas
8 to 10 taquitos
1 can enchilada sauce
1 small can sliced olives
large handful of shredded cheese.

Put the taquitos on the bottom of a baking dish (doesn't matter what size as long as the taquitos can lay down in there). Pour the enchilada sauce over the top. Then put on the olives (drain the juice out first - just take the top off the can, put your hand over it, and turn it upside down over the sink). Then do the cheese on top and bake about 25 minutes on 400 degrees in the oven. Serve with sour cream on the top. Yum!

These are three EASY recipes and all very delicious. By the way, allrecipes.com is my favorite. You can search by the ingredients on hand and it will give you recipes you can make with those items.

You should try making some chicken parmesean: INGREDIENTS: -Tyson Chicken Tenders (Similar to those that are served in Applebees) -Classico Marinara Sauce (Four Cheese) -Some Shreded Parmesean Cheese PROCEDURE: -Cook the Chicken Tenders as the bag tells you to. Usually there are 2-3 different ways to prepare them, like with an oven, on the stove, etc. -While the Chicken is cooking, take the cap from the Classico: Four Cheese sauce off and cover it up with a napkin when you place it in your microwave to heat it up. I suggest you put it in for some 36 seconds and then feel the temperature of it and from that, measure how much longer you should put it in the microwave. -Once the chicken is done, pour some marinara sauce onto the chicken, and melt some cheese on top of that. You will also need some vegetables with your meal, so I suggest some bird's eye mixed vegetables to go along with it. This is a tasty assortment of frozen vegetables such as carrots, peas, green beans, and corn. If you just boil the vegetables in a pot and drain the water after the time that is given on the bag, it will be a very good meal and will have enough protien, vegetables, and dairy to give you and your sister a healthy meal. Good Luck and Enjoy!

I think it's good that you're learning how to cook and people here have offered some great web sites with recipes.

I'm going to suggest something maybe a little different. While you are learning to cook, buy some ready made meals so if what you make doesn't quite work out, you're not sitting there hungry.

Canned soups with French bread, frozen meals (they have some very healthy ones now), and meals in a box may be good to have on hand. These are often on sale and can be good, inexpensive and quick for lunch or dinner.

I don't know what sort of foods you like, so I've given you a simple pasta dish you can make real quick and it tastes fantastic. OK you need.

1. 3 cloves of garlic finally chopped
2. 10 black olives that have been in olive oil, drain the excess oil
3. 1 bunch of basil/ you could use half a buch.
4. 1 teaspoon of olive oil
5. 2 cans of tomatos just chopp them up a little. buy the ones where it says it's from italy or really red.
6. capers they come in a jar in vinager you only need 1 table spoon/ if you don't like them you could leave them out but it gives it much more flavour.

Now heat all the oil add the garlic cook it for a min then add your olives capers and cook a further few min then add your tomatos and look that for 5 min stiring every now and again add some salt/ chillie flakes (if you like). after 5 min is up take it off the heat add your basil and stir , the basil will wilt from the heat then searve of on pasta add a little parmesan cheese. (if youlike) this sauce if too much for 1 person you could freeze it and use it next time , just take it out of the freeeze let it melt and heat on the stove well then cook your pasta and add that on top. I hope you enjoy this and it doesn't take long to cook.

You can buy the olives and capers from the deli, and the basil and can tomatos from your supermarket.

There are thousands of websites but this one stands out the best

www.cookingbynumbers.com

Because you always know you will have the ingredients! It has a checklist of ingredients that you have in the house and then it comes up with a HUGE list of recipes to cook with what you have on hand. Just skip the first 10 or so because they are usually something stupid like grilled cheese on toast.

buy a fork, a big knife, a big bowl, a plate that can cover your bowl and a deep pot and a blender unless you prefer to buy tomato sauce.

you will need some pasta....long stringy!
1 Red Onion
1 Green bell Pepper
1 Red bell Pepper
1 head of Broccoli
4 Roma Tomatoes if you have the blender and do not want to use tomato sauce.
Hand full of mushrooms.
Block of Monterrey Jack Cheese.

Fill the deep pot 3/4 of the way and put into stove top on high until the water starts to boil (you can see bubbles and is very hot).

Add the pasta onto pot and you can break by hand into half to get more amount for 10 to 15 minutes. (until is soft enough).

Depending on how good you are with the knife, before or while you cook the pasta cut:

the broccoli into bite sizes.

the green and red bell pepper.....you can start by cutting it in half and get rid of the middle and seeds and stem. Cut the rest into bite sizes.

Red onion first two ends cut and get rid off......then get rid of first two layers......cut the rest into small sizes about the size of your pinky nail.

Once you have cut all the veggies washed and ready. Drain the Pasta into sink without loosing pasta into drain. ADD all veggies to pasta and stir for a few seconds to mix it all!!

Put into your bowl.......cut a slice of Cheese and place on top of pasta and veggies then cover it with your plate.

Leave for 2 - 3 minutes and eat.........you may have to add salt and pepper. Also, some people like oil on it!! I recommend to add Flax seed oil it is better.....add 1 spoon to it!!

Try this link: http://www.lets-yada-yada-yada.com/register.php?referrerid=2318

It's a message board. It has a couple of different places with recipes. One forum is Epicurean Delights, and one is Weight Watchers.

One of my personal favorite recipes is Taco Soup. Here's the recipe:
1 lb ground beef
2 cans whole kernel corn (drained)
2 cans Mexican style tomatoes
2 cans Ranch style beans
1 pkg Ranch mix
1 pkg taco seasoning

Cook ground beef and drain. Add all ingredients and let simmer for 20 minutes or until it thickens.

This dish can also be prepared like a taco salad.

Tortilla chips topped with taco Soup, cheese, lettuce, sour cream and taco sauce or simply eat as a soup with tortilla chips.

ENJOY!
