Stick with the ENT. You will be glad you did. I had a severe sinus infection and was on antibiotics for 3 months solid. I had one x-ray and 2 cat scans. Each showed that my infection was getting worse and worse. I ended up haveing surgery for it.
The surgery was not bad at all either. I was so afraid of it, but found that I healed up quickly and have felt great since then.
Make sure that you are flushing your nose out with salt water. It really helps a ton!!
Good luck!!!!

Ear, nose and throat doc is probably the best. Call them and ask if they have a waiting list you can be put on. After this call, phone them every 3 weeks to see if there is any cancellations.
Why not make an appt with an allergist in the meantime. You may at least get your symptoms treated effectively while you wait the ENT doc.
I would recommend an immunologist as well, but only if you believe these are recurring infections and have been helped to some degree by your antibiotic regimes.
Might as well do something while you wait. Particularly if this problem is interfering with your life.

The ENT is the best choice. However, since you can't see the doctor until April go back to your treating physician in the meantime. Make sure you keep the appointment with the ENT because you may have a condition known as acute sinusitis otherwise known as sinus disease. Only an ENT can help you with a problem such as that feel better!

You may have chronic sinusitis. I suggest you call the office of the allergist and ask them if what you have is something they cover. If not, then your only option is the ENT and I can sympathize with you with the waiting for an appointment. It's mind boggling how long the wait is especially when you want to make sure it's not serious and diagnosing the problem early is the best option for treating.
If you have to resort to the ENT, keep calling on a daily basis to check for cancellations. Many times you can squeeze into an earlier appt. Even if you succeed with a few weeks earlier and you have another few weeks to wait, keep calling for an earlier one. I've been successful with this method if you don't mind calling daily.
Good luck.

I don't think it ever went away, it just chilled for awhile until your immune system became weak again, then it would return. So, the ENT is your best bet, as they train somewhat differently then an allergist, and the focus would be on your particular situation, not what a handful of people have experienced. If the ENT believes you to have allergies, they would refer only if the allergy was diagnosed as severe.

ENT, and because of the wait time see if your GP can help you get in sooner. That is a long time to wait for this to be checked out to see what is going on.
I also have had issues with sinus problems since I was a kid, the worst of it coming when I was 14.
