Insurance is already high because you are under 21. I assume single also. Any tickets and accidents make your insurance go up. Any accident including one where you were not at fault will make your insurance go up.

Big yes..the ticket is a one shot pay off. but insurance hikes go on year after year..5 to 7 yrs depending on co.
