I have such a hard time in math at school im doing good now but sometimes it's just to hard for me. Can you tell me how to keep my grades from suffereing? Can you tell me what i need to do to keep my grades up in math? thanks in advanced

talk your teacher about it, maybe he/she can explain and why you are not doing very well.
If that don't help you, find someone in you family to help you out if they know math.
Or if really need to hoke with a geek in your class(one with glasses on) they are very good. They too can very very shy.
How to help overcome they shyness is by doing a trade they would or maybe help out with math and all you need to do is to hanging out with them from time to time.

First of all do all of your work, I think that practicing and doing examples is the best way to learn. If you do not understand something, ask questions (dont be shy). If you still dont understand, talk to your teacher after class or get tutoring (some schools have programs). Study for your tests and make sure you understand everything. good luck

study, espeically just before sleeping
talk to your teacher, stop by for extra help, let them know what's up etc.
