NO, NO, NO!!!!

there are not many fossil fuels in the earth, and when they run out.... that is it.

i however don't know if we will ever git to this point... the CO2 that they are putting into the air could kill us all first.

No, burning of fossil fuels is not sustainable because the rate at which we are using them up far exceeds the rate at which new deposits are created.

Pretty much all of our energy is supplied from fossil fuels - from transportation through electrical power generation. We also make use of carbon-based resources as raw materials in the construction of many of our goods such as chemicals, pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals (e.g. pesticides) and plastics.

Yes, for a long time, but not indefinitely. The US has coal resources sufficient for many hundreds, or possibly thousands of years, but will eventually run out, and other alternatives, such as nuclear power, will be needed. By the time this becomes a real issue, the price of photovoltaic power may have come down enough for it to be a sensible option; it is too costly to make sense now unless heavily subsidized. But that does not decrease the cost to society -- it just spreads it out a bit.

No it isn't because fossil fuels are a finite and thus limited resource.

As for technologies I couldn't begin to list them, everywhere you look petrol is involved.
