Yes green pus indicated an infection.
Leaving eyes with discharge can lead to ulceration of eye which is not only painful but could ruin her eye forever.

I would definately reccomend taking your pet to the vet. It may be very serious, and you don't want your doggy going blind in that eye if it is. The vet is sure to know what to do for your pet, because that is what he is there for. Even if it doesn't bother her, I would have it checked out so you don't experiment with solutions that make the problem worse. Just ask the vet about it and correct the problem in the first place. I hope your daschund is okay. My grandmother has one and she is just the most adorable thing in the world. Take care.

I work with a board certified ophalmatrist for animals. It can be a couple of different things. Can be an infection or it can be a dry eye cause it cant produce any tears cause the tear ducts are blocked. Make an appointment and see the vet. You dont want him to go blind if it is a dry eye.

Call your Vet office first and ask to speak to him/her or one of the Vet Techs, explain all symptoms and any changes in behavior that have accompanied the symptoms. If they can offer you a home remedy then you have saved an Office Visit fee. They will probably tell you to come in though to have it looked at since it is the eye area.

If you had green pus in your eye, would you go to the doctor? The green color is a sign of infection. Just because it may not be bothering her does not mean it isn't damaging her. Wash your hands after handling her and protect your youngsters too!

Sometimes eye crusties look like pus, you know, the things you also get in the corner of your eye when you wake up. something green and pussy though that recurrs in an eye isn't healthy, so see a vet.

Yes, it could mean an eye infection or upper respiratory infection. I would get her to the vet before it gets worse

Yes, of course! ASAP! NOW!
It could be an infection, most likely it is. It could be fungus or worse. Call your vet and go there. Also after that check out askavet.com so you can learn even more about what she has.
I wish you and your dachy the best of luck.
