they're all great saints. You should pick whichever one you believe showed Gods love in their life to the fullest. In my opinion I would pick rose since she was the first saint of the americas and lived a life of amazing virtue and her name is nice too.
Even though I really like monica since she was st. augustines mother and never gave up prayer until his conversion, and germaine who suffered a tramatic life but didn't give up in God, or rita who's life is just inspiring, or bernadette who was a messenger of our lady.... I'd still pick Rose.

God Bless.

I like Monica or Rose. I'm taking confirmation too in May, do all churches have this practice of of children picking a confirmation name? I want to think thoroughly about picking a name if all churches do this.

Pick the saint that you share something most in common with. For example, I picked St Jerome for my Confirmation because he translated the Bible into Latin and I love books. Otherwise, I say, go with St Rose. It is a beautiful name that sounds beautiful.

I'm personally fond of Monica and Bernadette... but I think you should pick your name based on a bit of what each of these women are known for. Do a quick wiki search on them and see if anyone stands out.

How about Josef?

Confirmation story. My grandfather wanted my mother's confirmation name to be Belen (Spanish for Bethlehem). The priest insisted it be the name of a saint. My grandfather, known for his patience and forbearance replied something to the effect "Well dammit, name her Josef Belen!" And so she was.

Of the names you list, I wouldn't suggest Germaine because it is currently sounds more like a boy's name (e.g. Jermaine O'Neal of the NBA). Monica has Clinton overtones but those are fading. To me Bernadette sounds a bit old fashion. I'd go with Rose or Rita.

P.S. I think you misspelled Bernadette.

Read "Lives of the Saints" and find a saint you relate to.

I think Rose is such a beautiful name! Especially for a beautiful brown eyed female like yourself! Pick Rose.

Bernadette is a beautiful name, it means "brave as a bear" according the baby name sites, here's more info on her: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bernadette_Soubirous

I would chose based on the saint you feel most connected to, maybe one that symbolizes something you are striving for.

my hebrew name is "imma" which means mother, because it is what i am and what i hope to be remembered for.
