There's this guy in my class who I kinda like. Well, on his bday, I left him a comment on myspace that said happy birthday!(accidently sent it twice). Anyways, 2 other people sent him a happy bday comment, and I looked on their page, and he sent them a comment back thanking them. Well I didn't get anything. Now I feel so stupid! I was trying to take a step, and I think that it backfired! What do you think? Guys would you think that a girl was stupid if she did that to you? Thanks.

First of all I don't think you have any reason to feel stupid. Guy have a funny way of showing how they feel. Any way. Maybe he thought he left you a comment or he knows those people better or whatever. I know that a lot of people left me happy b-day comments on myspace and facebook, and I only thanked my best friends and my boyfriend. Also whenever I wish someone happy b-day on a site like that I don't really expect a thanks or anything back. Try not to feel discouraged. Try talking to him in person. Or leaving a comment saying "we should grab coffee or something sometime soon. see you in class". That way he knows your interested in hanging out and not just being polite and wishing him a happy b-day. I know you think that you were being obvious wishing him a happy b-day but guys are oblivious when it comes to girls. GOOD LUCK!

Well does this guy know who you are? From what I understand from myspace you have to be a friend to leave a comment? If anyone can leave a comment he may not even know it was you. If he indeed knew it was you perhaps he is playing mind games because he is attracted to you. It could be a posative thign rather than a negative thing. I wouldn't worry about it too much. The next time you talk to him don't bother mentioning it as you don't want to draw attention to it. Just talk to him normally and if he seems respondent to your conversation then maybe he likes you too. However if he is cold and distant with you then this is a sign he is not at all interested. I think the myspace thing personally has a reasonale explanation. Don't dwell.
ps. I would not ind it stupid at all; however I wouldn't consider it a big deal; i coudl easily send a message back and forget to hit submit and then leave my computer. Again don't dwell.

Well I did the same thing too, I sent this guy I like a happy birthday message on facebook and so did all the other girls, and i noticed that he wrote back to them but not me! made me really mad and so i just kinda gave up on him, even though he was the guy I first loved and actually loved, but i decided to move on and now i met this really great guy and now we are the best of friends. So you might want to just move on and then find someone new and make friends with him.

Don't beat yourself up...you didn't do anything stupid. You sent a birthday wish...what was stupid about that? He was stupid for not responding. It's hard not to take it personal, especially when you know he's responded to other people's birthday wish. I'd just cut him loose. Forget about him..find another guy who will appreciate you and thank you for doing something nice like that.
I wouldn't speak to him under any circumstances...his loss.

ohh don't feel stupid, it was thoughtful of you to send him a bday message, so you accidently sent it twice, it's no big deal. maybe he over looked your message and only saw the ones from the other 2 ppl. if you want you could ask him why he didn't reply to you. but you shouldn't feel stupid.

Check his reactions to other things that you do, if you find a pattern of him ignoring you, then he is not the right one and move on|
But an isolated incident of that kind may not mean anything - there could be a logical explanation such as somehow he missed the message - it is the the long term pattern according to which you judge the situation|

It's not stupid so stop beating yourself up about it. And don't waste your time wondering why he didn't respond to your message. Did you send him the message to get a response, or to wish him a happy bday?

No I would think he is stupid for not thanking you for a birthday wish. He obviously has not a single ounce of decency in him, so don't bother with someone like that.

Don't feel stupid for too long. Everyone does that sort of thing at sometime. I know that I have. Later it turned out very well. Chin up!
