Nothing to do with it in my case. I was just seduced by God! I got close to Him because I realized how much He cared, and how He wanted me, accepting me for who I was. I only thought of the judgement aspect later, much later. But it's al right if someone is motivated by that too. As long as He gets to know the Lord.

I'm not religious but I am a non-denominational Christian. I center my whole life around God because I know He's real and I understand His plan for this world and to save us. Perfect love casts out fear.

I'm actually afraid of not dying... It seems to me that death is the only gaurantee in life, regardless of what happens afterwards. And, although I dislike the idea of a slow and/or painful death, a prolonged , painful, or tedious life filled with boorish people is far frightening to me. Life eternal could itself be hell...

No I do not, nor have I ever, fear(ed) death.
Why would I fear something that's a normal part of life? I've lost too many people I loved to possibly fear death.
By the way, when the nurses found my dad (who was a devout Christian) right after he died, there was a smile on his face.
My aunt, on the other hand, who was NOT a Christian, did NOT have a smile on her face.

Actually since I have become wiccan I am not afraid of death.. There is no need to be afraid of the actual death, just the process of dieing is what one might worry about.. I am more afraid of losing family members then myself

Well, is a non-religious person afraid of living a Spirit filled life? I personally don't fear death. Thanks for asking.
Romans 8:9-11 "You, however, are controlled not by the sinful nature but by the Spirit, if the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ. But if Christ is in you, your body is dead because of sin, yet your spirit is alive because of righteousness. And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit, who lives in you."

Fear death? Seriously, dude. Aside from dying an excruciating death, I look forward to it. This is but a speck in time.......

Ever has a really bad toothache that just wouldn't go away. I imagine the lake that is fire and brimstone to be pretty much the same. Pain really bugs me.
