Etiquette would state that that's the right thing to do. Not everyone can affort to travel, or get time off of work. People want to be able to congratulate you and your groom, and maybe even get you gifts. My cousin did that, nothing fancy, they got married in Hawaii, and a week after they got back, had a huge backyard barbeque/bon-fire, wedding party, everyone had a blast.

Not unless you want to, If they can't attend then too bad, you shouldn't have to have 2 receptions it costs money unless your rich. If you want you could have drinks at your place and some finger food that won't cost much, Just for the close family and friends that couldn't attend but that is entirely up to you. Have fun in Vegas.

My wife and I got married in Vegas 25 years ago. We had another ceremony and reception back "home" 1 week later.
You don't HAVE to do it, but I'm sure there would be a lot of your friends and family in Illinois that would be happy to help you celebrate.
It doesn't have to be anything fancy, either.

No, you do not have to. Many people choose to do that, which is very nice for friends and family, but not necessary. Sheesh, if we had to hold a party for everyone who couldn't attend our wedding, we'd be broke!

It would be a nice gesture to the loved ones that can't make it. They probably already feel bad that they can't, and would like to take part in the celebration. You can just make it a backyard BBQ with some dancing and call it a day.

It would be nice, since not everyone can financially afford the Vegas trip...but that is up to you guys...you could do something really low key, like at a park or something...

You don't have to, but it may be nice to have like a cake and puch reception so those who are not able to go to Vegas can still celebrate with you. you can always do this at your home to save money.

No of course not. People do just for the gifts, though.
