and cannot turn off the computer, I have to press button on tower to turn pc off!

To restart the computer another way, press CTRL, ALT, and delete. Then go to shutdown. However Ive never heard of your problem before.. You could try a system restore in the control pannel but that requires the start button. Right click the toolbar and go from there. Sorry i cant help, told you how to turn off computer manually tho eh? I would recoment AVG Free Home Edition also, http://www.grisoft.com/doc/31/us/crp/0 , Sorry if it doesnt help

sounds like a virus... better run ur virsus scanner...
if u dont have try AVAST or AVG
and spywareguard for spyware...
online try MicroTrend (housecall)
check it soon or it could get worse...
