Solvent based products release chemicals into the air, especially when being spread, creating a larger surface area. The vapors being released can quickly fill a room, can be toxic and/or flammable, displace oxygen in the air, which could lead to an altered mental status or death. Some people have sensitivity to these products which could cause an allergic reaction, even death. This is why the label says use only in well ventilated area, keep away from open flames or other heat source, and wear a respirator.
