Nope, it's not just you : ) I mean, have you ever watched the House of Representatives on television? The Republicans always look like it hurts their faces to smile!

I'm a Republican, but I'm not angry and I'm an agnostic-atheist. I don't really need your pity, I'm pretty happy with my life. And I don't put a lot of energy into politics - I leave that to politicians. I just cast my vote when elections roll around, based on the candidates that I support. I voted for Bush, but I actually had planned to vote Kerry until the last minute (platform inconsistencies changed my mind). I agree with more Republican views, but that doesn't dictate my life. I wish you wouldn't generalize like that!

In defense of Republicans, yes, most of them are Christians; however, not all Christians are Republicans. I certainly am not one because I do not agree with the way they deal with policy and there are many things that I am against. I am Green Party. For the most part, the Christians that are Republicans are the conservative evangelicals. It's in line with what they believe socially. Most people that aren't evangelical Christians are actually other political parties.

Yes it is just you. Some of us do not subscribe to Republican politics and we are evangelical Christians to boot. I don't know any who are miserable and angry - and I know plenty - even if they are Republicans. So maybe, it's just you.
I don't think they - or those of us not Republicans - need your pity. In fact, some of them may pity you!
