People say it was made up its perfectly logical.
And scientists have recently come to realize that the earth was once completely covered in water.

And the first coutry, Sumeria, had a legend that their God made a vessel to escape a great deluge. Also Assyrians, Babylonians, and Akkidians all have similar legends.

And even Islam has an account of the flood story.

Look here are the dimensions of the Ark: 450ft long, 45ft high, and 70ft wide.
so the volume would have been: 1, 417, 500ft cubed. alot of things could fit on it.

So now we have a question of Where did the water come from and where did it go?

Genesis 1:6 And God said "Let there be an expanse of waters from waters." So God made an expanse from the waters above the expanse from the waters below it. And he called the expanse the sky.

That tells us that there was a blanket of water surrounding the earth. So when the flood happened the waters in the sky came down.

But you might say where did the water go

The answer lies in Pslam 104: 5Who laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be removed for ever.

6Thou coveredst it with the deep as with a garment: the waters stood above the mountains.

7At thy rebuke they fled; at the voice of thy thunder they hasted away.

8They go up by the mountains; they go down by the valleys unto the place which thou hast founded for them.

9Thou hast set a bound that they may not pass over; that they turn not again to cover the earth.

So before the flood ther was no continental shelves. And God said he rebuked them to the valleys.

He made the ocean abyss' for these waters. And thats where the waters went.

First, no scientists have not come to realize that the entire earth was once covered in water.

Second, it is doubtful that there is even enough water on the earth AND in the sky to cover the entire terra. It might be possible if you could tap the deep underground reservoirs, but then you would somehow have to get all that water evaporated so that it could rain down, which is more than improbable.

Third, it seems quite likely that there were smaller, localized floods from which these various tales have been derived.

Third, even at that size, there is no way the ark could have held two of EVERY species on earth.

Any way you slice it, the story just can't be literally true.

There is nothing 'logical' about the story of Noah's Ark. The size of the ark would not have held 2 of every species PLUS food for all these animals. The amount of water required to flood the earth in the amount of time stated is impossible. And the illogical list could go on and on. It is very obvious that the myth is based on possibly a small local flood and the details were embellished and many fabricated.

The Earth has never been covered completely by water. During the earliest years of our planets development, it was covered by a sea of magma; thats as close you get to a flood. Now that we've proven you're making up nonsense to prove your on agenda, lets delve deeper into the problems with your Noah story.

There was one patriarchal family on that ark, Noah's; this means that all humans on this Earth are incestuous, and incest is a sin (not to mention genetic suicide). As well, you expect me to believe that Noah collected 200,000 different species of beetle (there is one species of beetle for every other species on Earth)? How about the fact that predators eat prey, god or no god.

Try reading a book thats not written by a bunch of cult followers, might give you something besides lies my friend.

I think Noah lived where the Mediterranean Sea now lies. At one time it was a vast plain and they have found evidence of civilizations under the water. I think at the very end of the last ice age the Straight of Gibraltar broke through when the ice melted and God timed it to happen when the canape you spoke of callapsed. That explains the water from above and below. We don't know for sure but it's fun to ponder. lol

the earth's atmosphere should be different, way more acidic than it is if such a flood did exist. Remember, noah's flood started with LAND above sea level. Which means it's not your hocus pocus "oh the earth was covered in water". The thing is where did THAT water come from. And quoting the bible doesn't prove anything "scientifically". But if you quote Harry Potter, I might have a chuckle.

Uh, arent YOU supposed to be asking US a question, not the other way around?

And, thanks for making up lies. Scientists have NEVER and WILL NEVER come the concensus that the earth was once entirely covered in water, because there is not enough O2 and hydrogen inside the atmosphere of the earth to make enougfh water to cover the entire planet. So quit making up lies.

And your sources?

So Noah's ark came to rest on Mt. Ararat, being it the highest peak above the waters?

I guess Mt. Everest was back then a lame hill then.

Did he have the time to gather the millions of ground species?

Where did hermaphrodite species fit in, like garden snails?

What did Noah feed predators, from spiders to lions?

What about carrion eaters, what carrion did they eat?
..............

If you're going to turn blind and deaf before these questions I'm asking, not providing a single source or evidence, or even a plausible hypothesis, then expect the same behavior from those who oppose your viewpoint.

I've read the story ...

Noah was a drunk that was thrown out of town ... and then he started hearing voices that told him to make an ark ... then people thought he was really crazy ... but he was right and he saved all the animals ... and then he went on to do other stuff and lived to be like 700 years old

... it could happen

el endio It is apparent you have done your home work. but the whole world was flooded only once , that happened to end the first earth age after satans rebellion. This happened about 23,000 years ago. Now noah's flood was big but only regional compared to the first flood . and noah brought into the ark only those creatures that were indingenous to that area. The ark could not come close to holding two of every creature on the earth. Check out what i saying about the first flood, you will find out that it is correct. GOOD WORK!!!! MGB
