I used limewire last night, with no problems, but today when i try to get on, it freezes when the pop up asked if i want to upgrade to pro. I can't click on any of the buttons, i can't move it, it doesn't do anything, but when i move the curser over it, it lights up, so it's not completely frozen. I can also use everything else just fine, it's just limewire. I haven't changed anything on my computer. Any idea what could be wrong?

i don't have a virus on my computer, and i can't exit out of the box or click on anything in the background of limewire. It hasn't messed up anything else on my computer. i tried to re-install it, still doesn't work.

Did you try restarting your computer? Usually that solves a lot of problems. If that doesn't work then just uninstall it and then reinstall it. All of your files will be there when you reinstall it.

Limewire freezes up a lot. I'd suggest exiting it using Ctrl + Alt + Del and then reopening it. If it doesn't work, I'd either wait a few hours, or restart my computer and try again.

X out the upgrade box. I got that too. If it's still like that unintall and reinstall. If it's still there, it might be a virus that you got from downloading things using Limewire.

Limewire has Soooooooooo much spyware. when you run it, it jams all the time. Just a bad thing to use. Try using Torrents!

I dont know exactly whats wrong, but you can try uninstalling limewire, and then reinstalling it. It should take care of problems.

Perhaps lime wire hast got problem with Internet Connection. You should check all your FireWall or Security Package programs which they should allow the lime wire to use network.
If there is no problem with your connection . problem is from your process unit.. maybe you'be installed too many P2P softwares.

maybe you downloaded a bad file? limewire is full of spyware and all that hoopla. use ares. i've been using it since 2004 I think and haven't had any problems.

try uninstall & reinstall the program
also run your antivirus program to check for viruses
a good habit to get in to - always keep your antivirus program updated on a regular basis (every day)
and scan everything you download for viruses before opening / playing them
