I went to the doctor this morning because my seasonal allergies have been really bad this year and she wrote me a prescription for Flonase and Zyrtec each once a day. I got it filled and immediately took the medication about 5-6 hours ago. I really don't feel much different.

Does either medication take a lot of time to work?

Does it take days to build up the medicine to working?

Yes I know I'm trying for instant gratification, but I could use some relief!

Keep in mind that different medications have different effects on everyone. Some medications work for people, while other people get no help from those same medications.

I'm on Zyrtec (after trying at least five different medications) and it can take up to almost a week to fully work. Now, you may take only a couple days. But the medicine needs to build itself up in your bloodstream and that's what's taking so long.

Good luck!!

I've used flonase before and it worked great...but yes it does take a couple days for your body to get used to it and start it having an effect. I used clariten for almost 3 days before I saw any effect but now it works great. Stick with flonase for awhile, if it works it'll really help.

If you can get those lazy basterds to work at all, you're lucky.

(I misspelled word on purpose)
