I HATE it when people ask a question like "why is golf considered a sport". Most people say it isn't because old men play it. As a 15 year old golfer who watches PGA Tour pros who (With the exception of John Daly) are anything but, I really get annoyed. Please tell me what your opinion is on this.

It does not bother me , I wish more people did not think it was a sport , I wish less people liked it in general because the courses are too crowded its getting hard to get a good tee time !!!!

I agree. Plus a lot of the people who say it can't hit a golf ball for their life. People don't understand how hard golf really is. I mean it looks so easy on tv, but it's probably one of THE hardest sports.

I get very annoyed. The top golfers have to be as athletic as anybody else, to get to the top. Also it is far more of a mental game than a lot of other sports.

no why should we everybody is entitled to there opinion on anything, dont take it to heart golf is one of the most popular games in the world of all age's, but its not everybody fancys, dont let a certain few get to you because of there opinion, just say to yourself there are the one's who are missing out on a game thats put you through all the motions, the buzz of hitting a good shot the relaxation, the skill it takes to play the game, golf is a sport weather they like it or not

That is totally true and i would know because i am in other sports and I know people in other sports that consider golf harder than some of the major U.S sports

I don't annoyed at all. Who cares if it's considered a "sport" or not? Play the game because it's fun, not for what other people think about it...
