Yes. The INS will not take your green card away for visiting your home country. However, I recommend you inform them that you will be doing so to prevent any problems. This can be done by writing a letter to the INS. Then going to the INS office and handing a copy of the letter to the teller and having a second copy of the letter stamped by the teller to prove that the letter was indeed received by the INS. That's all. :-)

You have a visa and a green card. You are allowed to go home. You should call INS to verify the information you get here.

Yes you can, the only restriction is to not stay more than 6 months and if you do then you need a reentry permit and that creates a lot of headaches.

I don't think you can go back for at least 6 months or a year. It's something like that. Go to the immigration website and click on faq's.
