Don't buy a new unit just because it falls off the windshield, I would get a proper way to attach the bracket. Try using the same epoxy glue they use for attaching rear view mirrors

I purchased a handheld Garmin IQue 3600 (palm pilot) 2 years ago for $500. It has been upgraded since but is very versatile. It has mp3 player, photo browser, games, & other programs. It has a rechargable lithium battery that will last about 3 hours and comes with desktop programs and usb connections.many accessories are available including dash mounts and 8 foot external antennas.

TomTom 700 is the best. Be careful when you apply the base to the windshield, and do be aware that it will come off after many, many miles driven. However, just CLEAN IT THOROUGHLY and reattach it to the windshield.

P.S. I bought my TT700 on ebay for 399.00, and it was the "Plus" that has all the attachments too !
