I believe it is the same as any programming any remote. the instruction are on the garage door opener itself.
1) press and hold remote control transmitter push button.
2) press receiver code button( there is a little arrow pointing to a green button)
the opener light will flash once.
3) release transmitter button, opener has learned code.

The correct question is how do I get my in car transmitter to work on my garge door....
You need to set the door opener into program mode and follow the door openers directions for adding a remote. This will allow you to set your remote
