im in highschool...do i have to wait till i get out for a more mature guy? ive been used in the past...and dont want it to happen again.

Woman!! All men want to have sex, it is first and foremost in their minds no matter how old they are. Some are just more subtle than others.
It is up to the woman to control the relationship, not the man. You make it clear from the very beginning that you are not into "casual sex", but are waiting for that special one to share it with. They need not know you have been used in the past. If they do know, there is nothing wrong with saying, "well I have learned that casual sex is not for me and I am not doing that anymore: end of story!!
If the man likes you, he will continue to try to talk you into it, but it is always up to the woman to establish the boundaries. Don't let necking and petting get out of hand. No under the clothes feelies, no touching below the waist. Save yourself for someone special, someone willing to build a good relatioship first, then have sex. Better to have no dates than to have dates with boys who only want to get in your pants!
Men will be no different once you start dating men out of high school, but some of them are less likely to brag to others about "getting it" from you.
Value yourself, respect yourself, you have lots of time to enjoy sex and all its wonders.

It doesn't matter how mature a guy is--they will all play a girl just for the sex no matter how old they are. It may even get worse as a guy gets older, b/c the smarter they become the better 'player' they become. You seem like a pretty smart chick that has already caught on to the games men play. Remember the lesson and make sure no one ever makes 'sport' of you again. You will become one intimidating chick--but it's necessary to protect yourself from the predators, players, and sportsmen of the world. Have enough confidence in yourself to not allow anyone to play with your head. Good Luck

It isn't as much about age, but maturity. Maturity happens for men at different times in their lives, depending on the man. High school is an institution for the testosterone driven and in this sadly messed up culture boys have gone wild with disrespect for girls. So, yeah, you better steer clear of them while in high school or you will be used and abused and discarded. They are too young to get it and this society doesn't teach them either.

well guys mature at different ages there might be a few guys at your high school that are mature enough not to just have you for sex but in most cases guys usually do not mature enough to the point where they like a girl just because of who she is, so overall you are going to have a hard time to find a guy who just wants to be with you because it is you

Honestly, it all depends on the guy. I have dated older guys (I am 38) and some of them aren't even mature yet. Then I have dated a 29 year old who was more mature than the older one! No one can give you a number, unfortunately there is no magical age.

It's not really an age thing, it's more of mentality. Most guys will be looking for sex right off the bat, but that's just human nature. Not every guy is going for JUST sex, but it definitely is on their mind. This is coming from a highschool guy by the way. :-)

Some guys mature faster than others.. you have to make sure you really like the person before you do anything with him...take some time to figure out his level of maturity and commitment to you... if he really likes you he will wait !

Oh honey... There are ALWAYS going be immature little boys in your life, regardless of their physical age. However, there are also a few real men out there. The most important thing you can do is love and respect yourself. This way, you'll be ready to be treated like a princess when the right man comes along.

It depends on the guy. Some men never do. I know quite a few!
Age is not guarantee for maturity, but I am sure you can find some very nice men that won't use you!

For some guys, it never gets beyond the sex. But you can have a relationship without having sex. If the guy really cares about you he won't mind waiting to have sex. Any guy who pressures you for sex is not someone you want to be involved with anyway.
